The Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning is offering a bridging program for internationally trained IT professionals with education and experience in computer programming. This 24-week program is designed to provide participants with the advanced concepts, skills and knowledge required to work as .NET Developers. This fulltime program runs 15 hours per week in the evenings.
Graduates of this program will:
- gain an in-depth knowledge of application development using Microsoft .NET 3.5 and Database administration, implementation and maintenance using SQL Server 2008
- be able to develop and deploy GUI applications using Windows Forms as well as Windows Presentation Foundation
- be able to develop and deploy database driven web applications and web services using ASP.NET and Windows Communication Foundation
- be able to write the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and/or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) exams

Admission requirements:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Internationally trained professionals in information technology or computer science
- Have international credentials evaluated to a minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or a postsecondary diploma in Computer Studies or Information Technology. (Those without a credential evaluation may visit World Education Services for additional information.
- Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment at minimum Level 8
- Up-to-date professional experience in the field
- Prior knowledge of:
- Basic programming skills in C++/Java/.NET or similar
- Intermediate operating system skills (Windows & Linux)
- Attend in an information session at Humber
